Discussing Russian foreign policy in the post-Soviet era, Spring 1991.

Speaking with a thick Jersey accent I have since lost, Spring 1991.

English is my first language.

Spoke my first word at 12 months, been fluent ever since. I use it every day, whether it’s to order Nachos Bell Grande from a respectable local food joint or to greet the milkman in the morning.

Actually, I don’t have a milkman. I wait for grocery store milk to approach its sell-by date and then I buy it on manager's special. If I did have a milkman, we’d share blueberry muffins and gossip about my evicted neighbor.
